In its ranking of Germany’s top tax advisers, the *Handelsblatt* has noted that the complexity of tax law is constantly increasing. In order to provide their clients with high-quality advice, tax advisers and solicitors therefore increasingly require specialist qualifications that go beyond mere professional registration. However, of the approximately 83,400 tax advisers, very few have met these requirements by undertaking specialist training (for example, in the field of business succession).
